At Portal de la Marina we are aware of the importance of recycling for the planet. That is why we have created an area in our shopping centre dedicated to recycling: our new Eco Zone.
The Eco Zone is a space located in the Portal de la Marina car park. There are several containers for different types of waste. Specifically, the materials that can be recycled are: batteries, printer cartridges and toners, paper and cardboard, light bulbs and small lamps, used oil, fluorescent tubes, plastic bottles, packaging and clothes.
Recycling benefits the environment and therefore society as a whole for many reasons: it reduces the need for landfill sites, saves energy, avoids pollution caused by the extraction and processing of raw materials, reduces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change, conserves natural resources such as wood and water and helps to preserve the environment for future generations.
For all these reasons our Eco Zone is necessary, and the correct use of it depends on all the citizens of the Marina Alta. So, come to the shopping centre and use our Eco Zone to give a second life to your waste and a breath of fresh air to the planet.
